The New Jersey Judiciary Data Analytics, Research, and Statistics Division's Data Warehouse/Data Governance Team is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead a team of Data Analyst and Data Governance professionals. The successful candidate will supervise a team dedicated to the Judiciary's work on the build-out and expansion of the data warehouse (and related Data Marts), as well as focus on prioritizing the data tables and elements across the multiple court domains so the data warehouse can be leveraged to deliver short-term tactical projects. The successful candidate will also supervise team members responsible for data governance, which encompasses data concepts such as, access and security, availability, quality, glossaries, catalog, and classifications.
The supervisor will collaborate with other supervisors and managers from the IT development, data warehouse, business analysis, research, and business practice areas to develop plans for the growth, enhancement, and integration of new and existing systems with the Judiciary's MDM platform and Data Warehouse to improve staff efficiency, data accuracy, and enable the organization to make more data-driven decisions. A strong background in Data Warehouse, ETL, MDM, and Data Governance concepts, design, and implementation is preferred. Knowledge of court case management data and information is also preferred
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
* Supervise professional data analysts and coordinate work activities for those who perform data validation, create data requirements, and data governance artifacts.
* Maintain appropriate security of the data. Formulate policies, procedures, and practices for the organization related to data access, classification, and usage.
* Develop and oversee staff and methodologies involved in validating data, defining data quality, and data classifications.
* Create formal project plans, establish time goals, and assign resources.
* Support the usage and enhancement of Master Data Management and formulate plans for identifying and addressing data anomalies.
* Oversee the testing of data sets for accuracy and completeness as well as their documentation and training so they can be easily utilized by others to make data-driven decisions.
* Partner with other supervisors and managers to address data collection from new applications and updates to existing applications to ensure the data is made available and is understood for use in data analytics products, such as dashboards and Reports.
* Ensure that priorities are met.
* Teach, coach, and mentor staff in job responsibilities and to assist in career progression.
Salary range is $79,837.78 - $122,936.36. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of professional experience, two (2) years of which shall have included experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information technology systems and services in the mainframe, server, and network environments. May include analyzing and resolving complex technical problems; generating and testing applications code; performing database administration; administering data security; operating enterprise computer systems; contingency planning, implementing telecommunications facilities; and developing and/or conducting training on IT systems, concepts, applications, policies, or security.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year for year basis with one (1) year of such experience being equal to thirty (30) semester hour credits. An Associate's Degree and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for one (1) year of general experience as indicated above. A Law Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience as indicated above.

Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
