General Description and Classification Standards

The Training Director is responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's training programs. This role ensures that training initiatives align with organizational goals and meet the developmental needs of employees. The Training Director leads a team of training professionals, manages training budgets, and collaborates with senior leadership to identify training needs and opportunities. This position requires strategic oversight, effective program management, and strong leadership skills.

Supervision Received

The Training Director operates with significant autonomy and reports to a senior executive. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Airport Management, Business Administration or closely related field. 5-7 years of Senior Airport/Aviation Operations Management experience or related position at a domestic/large hub airport.

Preferred Education & Experience

Masters degree in Airport Management, Business Administration or closely related field. (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the masters degree on an exception basis) and 8 - 10 years of Senior Airport/Aviation Operations Management experience or related position at a domestic/large hub airport.

Licensures and Certifications

American Association of Airport Executive Accreditation A.A.A.E.(or must be obtained within one year of hire). Pilots license desirable.
