This position will be located at 1659 E. Elm St. Jefferson City, MO 65101.

  • Welcome the public to the Division of State Parks and Air Pollution Control Program, determine the nature of business, and announce them to appropriate team member or direct them to the appropriate area.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls; determine the purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate team member or to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Monitor building access and maintain logs for incoming and outgoing visitors. Maintain security by following procedures and observe and reset building cameras.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and overnight courier packages.
  • Coordinate the plans for projects, repairs and urgent issues with General Services Program, Janitorial Service or the building Owner’s Maintenance Crew and contractors depending on the type of work that needs to be completed or emergency that needs to be addressed and follow up until resolved.
  • Prepare and submit the Tenant Agencies Monthly Janitorial Report to the Office of Administration Facilities team by rating the quality of the specific contract housekeeping tasks.
  • Process checks and cash receipts from regulated facilities, identify the type, confirm the check amount is correct and enter each transaction into the Cash Receipts Log for the daily deposit consistent with the financial internal control procedures. Prepare a routing sheet for the program check deposits which includes listing all deposit bags, totals for each, and a grand total of all deposits, ensuring bags are secure, and mailing via interagency.
  • Assist the other administrative team members with preparing paper files for scanning, redact confidential information, assist with mailings for the Commission reports, document editing, prepare interview packets and perform any other clerical duties as requested.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • 1-3 years of data analysis and analytical experience along with administrative/office support work experience. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain clerical records and operate basic office equipment. Ability to interact on the telephone or in person with the public.
  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures applicable to assigned area. Skill in the operation of office equipment. Ability to organize work assignments. Ability to provide guidance to other employees.
