ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
Deschutes County Health Services supports over 400 staff in Behavioral and Public Health programs working to promote and protect the health and safety of the community in a broad variety of community based settings.

Deschutes County Behavioral Health (DCBH) is the Community Mental Health Program providing safety net and core clinical services for community members in Deschutes County dealing with mental health and substance use conditions. DCBH is also a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). As such, DCBH relies on multi-disciplinary teams to provide innovative, evidence based, recovery oriented services in behavioral healthcare settings co-located with physical health providers.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Health Services Supervisor (RN) will work within the outpatient community Behavioral Health (BH) program. This position functions as a key component of the department's leadership team. Incumbent reports directly to the BH Medical Team Manager and requires collaboration with Program Managers, Supervisors, and clinical teams across the department; Health Services administrative staff; and community providers. The Health Services Supervisor works in coordination with the BH Medical Director to provide leadership and supervisory direction to the operations of the BH Medical Team. Responsibilities include direct supervision of RN staff, program planning and development, and assistance with coordination, evaluation and oversight of medical team services including quality assurance and daily operations in collaboration with department management. Responsibilities also include providing direct RN services to behavioral health clients and coordination/collaboration with other medical providers in support of an integrated care model with physical health.

This position is located in Deschutes County and may be eligible for hybrid of in-office/remote work as allowed by policy and approved by the supervisor.

Compensation

$7,113.14 to $9,532.28 per month for a 172.67 hour work month. Excellent County benefit package when eligible. This position is available immediately.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Health, Behavioral Health, Business, Public Administration or related field;
  • AND five (5) years of related experience, including supervisory experience;
  • OR an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.

This position requires possession of a Registered Nurse (RN) license without restrictions in the State of Oregon.

Preference will be given for:
  • A Master's degree in nursing or other health related field and three years of experience in a behavioral health field.


Necessary Special Requirements

Driving is a requirement for this position. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license within 30 days of hire date. The employment offer will be contingent upon presentation of an acceptable and verifiable driver's license, pre-employment screening for criminal history, driving history, and controlled substances (NOTE: Positive test results for marijuana use may result in rescission of a contingent offer of employment). This screening must be completed with satisfactory findings in order for a formal offer of employment to be extended.
