    Job Location: This is a full time position; domicile will be within the Eastern Region of Missouri. Preferred St Louis, Farmington, or Columbia/Jeff City. Regular work schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with Saturday/Sunday off. This is a hybrid position that will allow for telehealth and face to face appointments.

The Department of Mental Health for the State of Missouri is seeking an Advance Practice Nurse to fill a position on their East/Southeast Regional Forensic Mobile Team. This team serves counties in the Central, Eastern, and Southeast region of Missouri, and this position will include daytime travel as needed. This position will entail coordination with community members, program leaders, and other staff to divert adult individuals who have behavioral health needs, from criminal justice detention to appropriate evidence-based programs.

    • Day time travel to assess clients in the community or in the jail setting as needed. State car is available for these visits.
    • Will complete psychiatric assessments and follow up appointments.
    • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, as driving is required.
    • Must maintain all requirements of professional licensure, continuing education, collaborative practice, nursing scope of practice, and professional regulations.
    • Will conduct comprehensive Medical/Psychiatric assessments, diagnostic formulation and treatment planning.
    • Demonstrate competence in the provision of a variety of evidence based practices such as DBT, CBT, SFBT, supportive psychotherapy, and motivational interviewing.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Either a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric and Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist board certification, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nursing license in the State of Missouri.
    • Experience in community mental health, forensic mental health, and substance use disorders is preferred
