CSET Instructor - MSTI Summer Program

  • Position: Lecturer -12 month

The MSTI Program at California State University San Marcos is accepting applications for Instructors who will work with current teachers studying for state-mandated content-based exams for teacher credentialing. The instructors will provide individual and group-based support to the students, including teaching targeted lessons, facilitating small group discussions, reviewing and evaluating student work, providing feedback, and selecting problem sets for students to work on based on their strengths and needs.

Minimum qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Expertise in STEM content
  • Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Preferred qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in STEM
  • Successful completion of STEM CSET
  • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience
  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,714 - $8,000 per full-time month
  • CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,714 - $14,487 per full-time month
