DescriptionEXCITING OPPORTUNITY Are you looking for an opportunity to turn your love of pickleball into a job? Make a positive impact on our Los Altos community by joining our team as a Pickleball Recreation Leader. The City of Los Altos has a very active pickleball community and an ideal candidate should be fun, passionate, positive, and interested in helping facilitate a pickleball program.
This position will be working at Egan City Gym on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45pm to 10:00pm, however times may vary depending on attendance. Recreation Leaders also have the opportunity to work in other department areas as needed. This position is part-time, temporary working approximately 10-20 hours per week.

- Plan, organize and lead recreation programs.
- Speak effectively in a public setting with adults and children.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.

- Report problems or hazards which may occur with children, parents, or equipment to on-site supervisor or Recreation Coordinator.

Recreation Leader II Minimum QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
EXPERIENCE:
- Recreation Leader II must be at least 18 years of age.
- 1-2 years paid and/or volunteer experience working with children in recreation, outdoor education, sports and/or crafts preferred.
