Full-time position available with the Parks & Recreation Department, Natural Resources Management Division located at 3515 NE 33rd Terrace
Salary Range: $20.48-$30.71/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Performs Edits (errors and adjustments) and performs audits in our payroll systems (Nova Time and Peoplesoft).
- Coordinates or facilitates specialized programs and performs routine operational tasks.
- Orders office supplies (as needed) and offers suggestions.
- Remedies operational defects (as directed), and assists other departments and sections within our department (as needed) by performing special duties when required.
- Maintains a variety of records/
- Aids with filing invoices, and organizes confidential personnel files, records, and creating reports as required.
- Supports in the development, installation and execution of our section's policies, procedures.
- Communicates with and schedules interviews with potential applicants and offers IT support to our operation.
- Performs special assignments and submits reports based on such assignments.
- Consults administrative superior on matters of general policy.
- Maintains good networking and interpersonal skills and receives and handles difficult complaints by being resourceful and offering information to interested person(s) and group(s).
- Prepares correspondence to some of the most frequently asked questions.
- Exhibits the ability to consult with individuals in person, through written communication, or through telecommunication where we're inquiring services, corresponding to complaints, resolving disputes, etc.
- Analyzes revenues and expenditure.
- Reviews budget estimates and assists in the determination of appropriations to be recommended by superiors.
- Analyzes divisional procedures to conserve funds.
- Inputs requisitions, checks statuses of those requisitions processed, and requests payment of invoices through the Department's Finance Section by way of written communication, telecommunication and through inter-office mail.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience to include professional experience in the development and/or operation of administrative systems, programs, policies and practice.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
