Job Overview

The Resource, Contracts, & Operations Analyst is assigned primary responsibility for budget and contracts research, analysis, coordination, and administration in the Office of Undergraduate Studies (OUGS). This position also provides general operations oversight. This position reports directly to the Dean of OUGS and serves as the lead for the OUGS Administrative Coordinator. This position works closely with cross-campus contacts in the Budget Office, Faculty Affairs, and Academic Affairs Planning and Resources.

In the budget role, the Operations Analyst is responsible for financial planning and implementation of fiscal and operational policies. This includes monthly budget reconciliation for (7) departments within OUGS, and all aspects of budget planning and advocacy. In the contracts role, the analyst handles the coordination, analysis, assessment, generation, and processing of personnel/payroll documents, appointments, contracts, entitlement and reconciliation for all Unit 3 lecturer faculty and Unit 11 student employees, in compliance with university policies and procedures. This position works with the OUGS Administrative Coordinator to ensure operational oversight. This position works closely with Faculty Affairs, Human Resources and Payroll, as well as the Assistant Dean, OUGS Administrative Coordinator, the Director of First-Year and University Programs (FYUP), and the Senior Director of Learning & Tutoring Services (LTS) to accomplish these duties. Independent decision-making authority is assigned over the range of these operations, with occasional oversight from the Dean and partnership with Directors. The Resource, Contracts, & Operations Analyst is a policy expert for personnel, hospitality, contracts, and purchasing. This position is assigned ultimate responsibility for advising the Dean on OUGS’ overall strategic planning and implementation of resource and budget management.

This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,014 - $5,858 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,170 - $7,545 per month
