Position Description
The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is seeking an IT Professional III to join our Information Services team located in Carson City, Nevada.
This position is responsible for MuleSoft API development for the Unified Nevada Information Technology for Youth (UNITY) system, which is the federal Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) for Nevada. It is used to record foster care, adoption, child protective services, licensing, and other Child Welfare activities. UNITY is used statewide by approximately 1,600 staff and has been operational since 2003. The position is the supervisor of the API development team and will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of the integration solution between UNITY and MuleSoft. A successful incumbent will be responsible for developing integration solutions, deploying apps to cloud hub and patch updates in the MuleSoft platform. This position requires knowledge and experience with ASP.NET or Java programming language, detailed requirements analysis, software design, development, and testing. Incumbent will be responsible to Identify, analyze and develop interfaces and integration flows using Mule ESB Any point platform including Mule Runtime, Connectors, Design Center, and API management. This position will require communication with end users, policy staff, business process analysts, trainers, and management. In addition to technical skills, communication skills, leadership, and initiative are all essential aspects of the job as well. Incumbent should have good understanding of REST services and API testing tools like Postman or ARC. Other technologies used include AngularJS, JavaScript, Web API, .NET Framework, jQuery, C# Web Forms, and Foundation 5 for front-end user interface and design
This is a full-time position that will be in Carson City Nevada. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and three years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, one year of which was at the journey level; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Professional II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
