Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions

Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.

A part time VA appointment may be available for interested candidates.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide ongoing care for patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal neuromuscular and pain conditions.
  • Inpatient rehabilitation at Trustpoint Hospital of Lubbock aligned with the candidates clinical interests
  • Education of rotating students & residents both on inpatient & outpatient
  • Outpatient clinics aligned with candidates clinical interests


Required Qualifications

Successful completion of a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or completion of residency by Summer 2024.

Board Certified Physiatrist or Board Eligible on or before July 1, 2024.

MD or DO Required.

Current Texas medical license OR eligible for State of Texas license.

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen to work with the Lubbock VA Clinic.
