Summary
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
Our Mission is to promote and protect the Health and Safety of Our Community. Our department has a primary responsibility to help address the basic health and wellness of Deschutes County residents. The department offers services at more than 40 locations in Deschutes County including public schools; health clinics in Bend, La Pine, Redmond and Sisters; five school-based health clinics; agencies such as the KIDS Center and the State of Oregon Department of Human Services; area hospitals; care facilities and homes.

ABOUT THE JOB:
In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead a seasoned team of providers and certified medical assistants in a clinical setting at three locations within Deschutes County while working closely with the Program Manager to ensure equitable clinical services are provided. You will lead a clinic team that provides: Free or low-cost birth control, Annual Exams, HIV Testing & PrEP, Pre-Pregnancy Counseling, Emergency Contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Testing & Treatment for all genders, and referrals to needed services such as immunizations, behavioral health, and pregnancy counseling & referrals for all options.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program planning, budgeting, monitoring, coordination, evaluation, and supervising staff, and direct service delivery.
  • Assess services and monitor compliance with program assurances tied to state and federal operational guidelines.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance of programs in collaboration with department management.

  • Professional principles and practices of reproductive health, sexual health, infectious disease treatment, and education for individuals of all genders seeking clinical health services.
  • Management and administrative practices related to reproductive and sexual health clinical services to include understanding and implementing policies and procedures of state and federal regulations.
  • Working with diverse populations and promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace.
Skill in:
  • Leadership that allows you to motivate and inspire others to work well in a team environment while keeping primary focus on serving program participants.

Compensation
$6,576.50 to $8,813.13 per month for a 172.67 hour work month. Excellent County benefit package when eligible. This position is available immediately.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Health, Behavioral Health, Business, Public Administration or related field;
  • AND five (5) years of related experience, including supervisory experience;
  • OR an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.


Necessary Special Requirements
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license within 30 days of hire date. The employment offer will be contingent upon presentation of an acceptable and verifiable driver's license, pre-employment screening for criminal history, driving history, and controlled substances (NOTE: Positive test results for marijuana use may result in rescission of a contingent offer of employment). This screening must be completed with satisfactory findings in order for a formal offer of employment to be extended.

This position requires possession of a Registered Nurse (RN) license without restrictions in the State of Oregon.
