Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Occupational Therapists II for Behavioral Health who perform a wide variety of individual therapy programs for the occupational rehabilitation of patients.

Duties include the following:
  • Plan, implement, and supervise patients' Occupational Therapy programs as prescribed by physicians for inpatients in the Behavioral Health Unit, based on individual's unique needs with emphasis on teaching the value/skills of appropriate orientation, personal care, self-concept, cognitive integration, self-expression, self-control, coping, stress management, anger management, social interaction, pre-vocational education, time management, and play/leisure and other adaptive life skills.
  • Utilize activities of daily living (ADLS) sensorimotor, task, psychoeducation/life, skills, social/leisure groups and individual interventions to restore the patients highest level of functioning.
  • Participate in treatment with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide information regarding status of patients under treatment and assist in planning treatment programs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
The immediate vacancy is in ARMC's Behavioral Health; however, the resultant list will be used to fill future vacancies in the hospital as they occur.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be "fully vaccinated and boosted" for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess all of the following:

License:
Must possess and maintain a valid Occupational Therapy license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (California Board of Occupational Therapy).

Experience: One (1) year of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Certification: Must possess and maintain Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
