AEROSPACE ENGINEERING POSITION - The Aerospace Engineering Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, invites applicants with an earned Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, or closely-related field, to apply for a full-time, academic-year Tenure -Track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The projected start date is September 14, 2023. Duties include teaching Aerospace Engineering courses; building a vibrant and innovative research program; and supporting and developing students into engineers ready to thrive in the modern aerospace industry. This position is open to candidates with experience in all areas of aerospace engineering but those candidates with interest in the areas of spacecraft design, spacecraft propulsion, and spacecraft communications in support of the department’s unique and innovative Astronautics concentration are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with research or private industry experience are encouraged to apply.
Grade and salary commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected. Anticipated hiring ranges:
Assistant Professor: $96,408 - $107,000 per year
Associate: $104,000 - $115,000 per year
