Summary

The Marketing Communications Manager will create and oversee marketing and communications initiatives to increase awareness, engagement, and advancement of the School’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. In a fast-paced environment that thrives on teamwork, the Manager will craft compelling content and collaborate schoolwide to support: Admissions, Philanthropy, Academic Leadership, and the overall School Program (i.e.: Service Learning, Global Programs, Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Parents Association).

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to, the following)

• Lead email communication and content calendar planning and execution

• Write and edit a variety of internal and external communications

• Create appealing and effective graphics, photo, and video content that aligns with the School’s brand standards

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders

• Manage contributors (staff, summer interns, and vendors) effectively

• Oversee workflow, keeping projects on time and on budget

• Support and attend School events as needed. Examples include: school assemblies, special student events, open houses, commencement, reunion

• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, or related discipline preferred

• 5+ years’ experience in marketing and communications, at least 2 years in a supervisory role

• Outstanding communicator with the highest level of listening, speaking, and writing skills, and an ability to persuasively create and convey messaging to diverse groups including current and prospective families, donors, board members, and the public

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Working experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-suite

• Experience working with an educational institution and/or non-profit preferred

• Familiarity with Finalsite (website content management platform) and Veracross (database) or similar is preferred
