MANAGEMENT APPRAISAL OF PERFORMANCE PLAN (MAPP): This position is subject to the provisions of the Management Appraisal of Performance Plan (MAPP). Initial salary placement and subsequent salary adjustments will be made in accordance with MAPP guidelines and regulations.

Essential Job Functions
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism initiatives (EDIA) Work with other departments in reviewing and implanting EDIA related policies and County-wide initiatives.
Work collaboratively with the Training unit to deliver training programs such as professional development, leadership development, cultural sensitivity, and implicit bias.
Develop, execute and manages employee programs, including implementing practices and assessment methods to monitor performance and inform decisions on how to achieve EDIA objectives.
Support LA County and DHS EDIA strategic priorities by leading local initiatives.
Plan, implement, and coordinate staff engagement events that educate employees and raise awareness in equity, diversity and racism topics.
Develop and analyze metrics to measure progress and effectiveness of the EDIA strategy.
Research and compile relevant data sources to provide insight to support a better understanding of the local population base in terms of medical eligibility, income levels, race and ethnicity, age, gender, etc.
Work in collaboration with HSA and other facility-based leaders in the development and execution of EDIA strategic initiatives.
Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of community engagement or community communication programs.
Oversee program operations and develop operating strategies, plans, or procedures.
Identify and build rapport with Community groups and organizations regarding education and training opportunities, contracts and purchasing, accessibility of services.
Requirements
SELECTION REQUIREMENT: Three years of highly responsible administrative or staff experience*, two years of which must have been at the level of Senior Staff Analyst, Health** or higher, analyzing, developing and implementing capacity building and policy recommendations in the areas of racism-prevention, anti-racism, equity, diversity and inclusion.
PHYSICAL CLASS II - Light: Light physical effort which may include occasional light lifting to a 10 pound limit, and some bending, stooping or squatting. Considerable walking may be involved.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT INFORMATION: *Highly responsible administrative or staff experience is defined as: staff experience at the senior level with extensive knowledge of program related area, processes and procedures, and experience in a specific subject matter.
**Experience at the level of Senior Staff Analyst, Health is defined as: supervises a team of analysts providing technical and consultative service to management.
Desirable Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree*** or higher in public policy, social science, education, public administration, ethnic studies, human services, political science, law, or a closely related field.

EXAMINATION CONTENT: This examination will consist of an evaluation of experience, education and desirables based on application information, weighted 100%.
Candidates must achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on the exam in order to be placed on the eligible register. ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: Applications will be processed on an "as received" basis and those receiving a passing score will be promulgated to the eligible register accordingly.
The names of candidates receiving a passing grade on the examination will be added to the Eligible Register in the order of their score group for a period of twelve (12) months following the date of promulgation.
