Information Technology Consultant
Administrative Technology

Salary Range: $3,470 - $6,681/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.; non-exempt classification. Temporary one-year appointment; may be extended; may become permanent.

Essential Functions: Reporting to the Director of Administrative Technology Services and Operational Development, the Administrative Operations Information Technology Consultant (ITC) supports Administrative Operations by providing the first line of technical support for staff in a variety of administrative departments. The incumbent will: install, support, and maintain computer hardware and equipment; provide technical support for the implementation and maintenance of software and systems; serve as first point of contact for hardware and software user questions and issues; facilitate communications with the functional users in identifying issues and leading the resolution of problems including complex issues; track and document problems and ensure that problems are resolved; be responsive and effective at resolving user technical issues; create and maintain documentation related to the use and troubleshooting of computer equipment and systems, this includes maintaining accurate inventories of equipment; and provide user trainings as assigned or by user request.

Required Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Communications, or related fields. Basic knowledge and experience with personal computer systems (both Windows-based and MacOS), networks, printers, and multifunction devices. Competence in problem identification and resolution skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in working with users and technical resources with an emphasis on customer service. Strong skills with the Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to lift and move computer equipment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Basic knowledge of administration and financial business practices, policies, and procedures in higher education. Knowledge and experience with systems such as PeopleSoft, Blackbaud, Pharos, and/or DocuWare.
