Position Description

The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for Speech Pathologist II in LAS VEGAS, NV. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS). This is a Part Time position (.51)

Under general direction, t his Speech and Language Pathologist administers eligibility speech and language evaluations and provides child/family centered speech and language and communication services in children's homes, childcare facilities, playgroups, and other community settings for children with disabilities and developmental delays who are under the age of three residing in Southern Nevada. Speech and language intervention is a required service in accordance with the federal regulations of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and are provided on the child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must possess a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association including completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

  • Current license as a speech and language pathologist by the Nevada Board of Examiners for Audiology and Speech Pathology is required.

    • A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant at the cost of the applicant.
    • A valid Class C Nevada driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
