Description: Job Overview
Reporting to the Director, Office of Academic Advising, the Academic Advisor is responsible for providing comprehensive and complex academic advising and student service for undergraduate students, supporting student transition to the university and retention efforts. This includes providing assistance with general education advisement, major and or minor advising, overall graduation requirement advising, academic planning, course scheduling, graduation and enrollment pace planning, and interpreting policies, regulations and procedures as they pertain to guiding students appropriately in assigned majors. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of retention strategies and campus efforts to accomplish system wide Graduation Initiative goals as put forth by the CSU Chancellors Office. The incumbent will assist leadership with the development and ongoing execution of a holistic vision for academic advising student services for the University's centralized advising unit. This position is also responsible for a specific coordination role(s) requiring the ability to provide lead direction for a program, service, or process. Position Summary

This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Anticipated Salary Range: $4,691 - $5,809 per month
