Job Description

THE POSITION
**Although there is a salary range for this position, salary will be negotiated depending on experience.**

This recruitment will be used to establish an open competitive and promotional eligibility list that may be used to fill this vacancy and vacancies occurring in this classification for a minimum period of six (6) months. Manages and coordinates transit stop amenities.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

Working Conditions: May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing or a closely related field and five (5) years of full-time professional contract management or public relations experience, four (4) years of which were in supervisory role, preferably in the last twenty-four (24) months.

Licensing and Certifications: Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license at the time of appointment..

Background Investigation: Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission in this position is contingent upon completion of a comprehensive background investigation, including qualifying education/experience verification, social security trace, criminal history records review, and driving history records check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manages and coordinates the work of assigned staff; performs performance evaluations, develops staff, engages in employee relations. Manages bus shelter/bench franchise agreements to ensure adherence to routine and special maintenance requirements. Determines suitable locations for transit stop amenities, in coordination with Transit Division, MPO Division and franchisee. Investigates and responds to requests from the public, government agencies, elected officials and RTC management to remove, relocate, or install transit stops and related amenities. Represents the RTC in meetings with community groups, media or individuals; answers queries and provides information/assistance as required. Oversees safety responsibilities for areas assigned and ensures that direct reports are trained on safety procedures, fully compliant with procedures, an held accountable for breaches in safety and security protocol. Obtains easements and right-of-way for placement of Rapid Transit stations. Manages transit stop and vehicle advertising programs to ensure compliance with RTC advertising policy, compatibility with transit system image, and appropriate revenue generation. Manages program to install new transit shelters and amenities in the general market and resort corridor. Operates a variety of office equipment, to include computers and associated software. Ensure that RTC contractors comply with the terms and conditions of their agreement(s). Other duties as assigned.
