Salary: $118,249.48 - $153,724.32 AnnuallyUSD
The Director of Parks and Recreation manages, directs, supervises and coordinates various recreation programs and special events for the Town of Prosper. This includes maintenance of all parks, fields and facilities, supervision of parks employees, and creation and management of the department's annual budget. This position requires short and long range vision and planning that will align the departmental goals with those of the Council and Citizens of Prosper.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate for this position will be a dynamic planner with a passion for community development and park planning. Experience with master planning, developing Parks and Recreation facilities, and at least five years of experience in Parks and Recreation. As a leader of a large department, leadership and management skills that exemplify the Town's values will be highly sought after.
ABOUT THE TOWN OF PROSPER
Located within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area in Collin and Denton Counties. Prosper is 35 miles due north of downtown Dallas and has a land area of approximately 27 square miles located along US 380. Prosper's population is currently over 30,000 with a total buildout projection of 72,000 residents.
