Reporting to and under direct supervision of the Director of Enterprise Applications, the Technical Analyst and Programmer is responsible for supporting production, ongoing development, third party integrations, upgrades and enhancements to Sonoma State University's enterprise systems. Systems include PeopleSoft, Dell Boomi integration platform, third party applications that interface to PeopleSoft, OnBase Enterprise Content Management and Adobe Sign. This position is a member of the Enterprise Applications (EA) department, which supports internal custom Information Technology (IT) development and centralized administrative computer systems on-campus.
This position requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technical information systems and application program packages, including a working knowledge of common software application packages, reference database systems and sources, and training methods and a basic understanding of networks and data communication. This basic foundation may be obtained through a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study. Two to four years' experience working with technical information systems programming and developing data integrations or data sets required. Fundamental technical experience supporting Oracle/PeopleSoft Enterprise systems including experience in applications development - Application Designer, Application Engine, SQR, PeopleTools and PeopleCode preferred. A working knowledge of SQL required. Understanding of Oracle/PeopleSoft Security, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Web Services and XML preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to identify and solve production problems, write code to meet user and technical specifications and ability to use productivity tools to develop and modify applications software. Experience with common third-party tools (Google Suite, MS Office, SSH, TOAD, Oracle SQL Developer, SQLPlus, UNIX scripting, PERL, Java, and Web Services) preferred. Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutons highly preferred. HigherEd experience preferred. Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required. Demonstrated experience with PeopleTools environment; User interface design highly preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and will not exceed $5 ,967 a month. This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
