The City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Temp Recreation Leader II - Housing Youth Program. This is a temporary part-time, non-exempt position. The position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday, 3:15-7:15 pm hours. This is an unclassified position that will serve at the discretion of the department head.
Starting Salary: $14.96 per hour.

Who we are:
The Neighborhood Resources Housing & Redevelopment Division is the City of Chandler Public Housing Authority which oversees and manages Public Housing units and the Housing Choice Voucher: Section 8 program. Our primary focus is to provide affordable rental housing for low-income households. The Housing Youth Program serves the children and youth living in Chandler's four Public Housing family sites.
Who we are looking for:
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with (experience and passion for working with low-income, at risk children and teens; the ability to independently facilitate an after-school program for different aged youth and the flexibility to work an alternate schedule during Intersession Program dates.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency; and
• One (1) year of experience in a recreation environment; and
• Valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving record; and
• First Aid and CPR/AED certifications may be required depending on assignment; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
• Two (2) years in a recreation environment;
• Experience working with youth and teens in educational, recreational or after school settings;
• Available for alternative schedules during school intersessions;
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
