Salary: $10.35 - $13.98 Hourly USD
General Description: This is a seasonal field position. The incumbent performs routine tasks and fieldwork to assist with concession and park operations on weeknights and/or weekends between the months of April and November.
Organization: The Concession Park Attendant reports to the Facilities Supervisor and supervises no staff.
Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping, including cleaning and stocking the restrooms; picks up and disposes of trash, keep concessions, and other areas where work is performed and equipment is stored, in a clean and orderly condition.
May be required to drive a County vehicle from park to park, open and close facilities, monitor activities and field usage.
May provide information to park patrons concerning use of a park or other public facility, including park rules and regulations.
Set-up concession or other area of responsibility for daily use and follow
closing procedures for the same.
May operate cash register, and concession appliances and equipment.
Maintain adequate stock and supply of items appropriate for the facility and job duties assigned including counting items and maintaining inventory records.
May collect money, make change, prepare deposits, and submit reports of fees collected.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Field- 100% must be able to travel to Parks and Recreation event sites and meetings.
Requires moderate work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, and involves lifting between 20 to 50 pounds on a regular and recurring basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions, required. Ability to follow and enforce rules. Must have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and work tactfully with the public. Knowledge of cash handling and customer service preferred.
Education, Experience and Training:
Must be at least 17 years old. High school graduate or GED preferred but not required. Driving positions require staff to be at least 18 years of age.
Criminal records check, including fingerprinting.
Possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
May be assigned to work one or more parks.
Special Instructions to Applicants
Various part-time seasonal positions, hours flexible up to 29 per week depending on availability.
General hours of operation during season include: Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. ; Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m, variable shifts; Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., variable shifts.
