THE POSITION

Expandingand Sharing Technology throughout the County

An Information Technology Analyst (Principal) manages and oversees a major information technology system, group, or program and plans, designs, and coordinates the maintenance of the most difficult and complex infrastructure system or computerized data processing and applications systems for large, multi-departmental or countywide functions.

There is currentlyone vacancy for Information Technology Analyst (Principal)in the Department of Information Technology, Health and Social Services - Data Management Team.

Position Description:

Solano manages 29 Health and Social Services applications. 20 are Cloud based hosted systems, most hosted by the State of California or Federal Government. The Enterprise Application Manager should have extensive experience with Health Care ERP systems; particularly NextGen or Avatar. The Enterprise Application Manager will also lead our Data Visualization program. The Enterprise Data Visualization program will include reporting tools native to the Application (most use Crystal) as well as an Enterprise reporting system based on the Azure Data Management platform. This position will be a peer in the same division to the Enterprise Data Manager who will also leverage the Azure toolset. The Division is responsible for a coherent Application, Data and Reporting strategy for the Health and Social Services areas with the eventual extension of the data strategy throughout Solano County.

An individual energized by the potential to serve the Health and Social Service needs of Solano County. In this role, help serve 9 divisions and their diverse program needs through Application and Data Visualization leadership. Solano is a strong proponent of industry best practice frameworks including DMBOK, PMBOK, BABOK, ITIL and SDLC. All leaders are required to communicate and execute strategy and work within these frameworks. The ideal candidate will embrace and is well versed in these frameworks. Due to the nature of Health and Social Services data, candidates should have compliance or regulatory experience. Data Management experience with one or more DAMA domains is important.

The eligible list created as a result of this recruitment will be used to fillfull-time regular or limited-term positions as vacancies occur or the need arises.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Information Technology or related field.

AND

EXPERIENCE:Six (6) years of information technology systems and/or application development and support experience including two (2) years of project lead or supervisory responsibility.

Note:Additional experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the educational requirement.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Licensing, Certification and Registration Requirements:
  • Applicants may be required to possess a valid California Driver’s License, Class C.
  • Some positions in this class will require technical certifications demonstrating expertise in specific bodies of knowledge.
