Electronics Lab Engineer
The Nevada Gaming Control Board is seeking qualified applicants for an Electronics Lab Engineer position in the
Technology Division for the Las Vegas office. This recruitment is for an unclassified, full-time position within the
State of Nevada system, and may be used to fill current and/or future vacancies as they occur in the
geographical area for up to one (1) year.
Recruitment: This is an open competitive recruitment, open to all qualified applicants.
The POSITION: The Electronics Lab Engineer is under administrative direction of the Electronics Lab Manager, the
Electronics Lab Engineer is responsible for evaluating gaming devices, gaming associated equipment, and
modifications thereto for regulatory compliance; performing forensic analysis in the investigation of patron
complaint, dispute, or criminal allegations; analyzing technology as it relates to the gaming industry for
suitability; and performing related work as assigned.
Travel: Irregular hours and statewide travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer
science, or mathematics; and three years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
The ideal candidate will have:
• General knowledge of electronics, computing, and networking fundamentals.
• General knowledge of statistics and probability.
• Ability to program in at least one high level programming language such as C#, Java, or Python.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Salary Range: Up to $106,570. Salary reflects Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) contributions by both
the employee and the employer. An employer-paid contribution plan is also available with a reduced salary.
