The Nevada Gaming Control Board is seeking qualified applicants for a Technology Technician position in the
Technology Division for the Las Vegas office. This recruitment is for an unclassified, full-time position within the
State of Nevada system. Applications will be accepted until recruitment needs are satisfied.
Recruitment: This is an open competitive recruitment, open to all qualified applicants.
The POSITION: Under immediate supervision from the Senior Engineer or Chief Deputy, a Technician is
responsible for performing gaming device and associated equipment verification services in the State of Nevada;
assist in the maintenance of the Board's gaming device and associated equipment image repository; investigate
patron complaints and disputes; and performing related work as assigned.
Travel: Occasional in-state travel, to include sort-term stays at remote locations, is required; Occasional
unscheduled "call-ins" may occur; May require job attendance during off-hours; Requires a valid State of Nevada
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Associate's
degree in engineering technology, computing, or an equivalent field. Two years of experience working in a

• General knowledge of electronics, computing, and networking fundamentals.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office fundamentals;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with staff, gaming
licensees, and the general public;
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to work effectively on a team with
Salary Range: Up to $69,742. Salary reflects Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) contributions by both
the employee and the employer. An employer-paid contribution plan is also available with a reduced salary.
