Description: Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Custodial Manager for Facilities Operations, this position is responsible for the independent oversight and coordination of Facilities Operations event support, including but not limited to relations with on and off-campus entities, scheduling of all facilities labor required for event, equipment use and/or rental, building condition and operation, and maintenance. This position will work on events such as commencement, open-house, and support donor relations and alumni engagement events, sporting events, and various student orientation activities. The incumbent will regularly exercise judgement and discretion to meet objectives and resolve situations as they arise. Department Summary
Facilities Management and Development (FMD), a unit within the Administration and Finance Division (AFD), is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of university facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. FMD consists of five critical and interdependent support departments, including Customer & Business Services; Energy, Utilities, & Sustainability; Environmental Health & Safety; Facilities Planning & Capital Projects; and Facilities Operations. Key Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to review event plans from potential users for safety, code compliance, and adherence with approved use procedures. Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn code compliant operations for event support services in the facilities (i.e. food service, catering, crowd control, pyrotechnics, stage erection, and sound.)
- Demonstrated experience in anticipating problems and addressing them proactively.
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. Strong organizational and time management skills; demonstrated ability to take initiative and perform work with the demands of multiple and diverse deadlines.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, design software, databases, online systems, calendaring and email to produce construction documents, specifications or information retrieval.
- Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. Three (3) years of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $55,200 - $72,000 Per Year
