Johnson County's County Manager's Office is looking to fill the position ofSenior Management Analyst
. This position is responsible for providing research, analysis, and support to executive leaders. The County Manager's Office is a fast-paced environment that provides excellent opportunities for growth and development in public administration. First review of applications. - Under minimal direction, carries out broad and complex assignments or projects requiring generalized or specialized knowledge of County operations and community interests; directs and manages major project phases through coordination with various project stakeholders; ensures communication with project stakeholders including ongoing status reporting, team meetings, updates, and presentations; develops and monitors project budget and performance measures; reviews and approves project deliverables and provides direction to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Participates in and coordinates a variety of countywide committees and work teams under the general direction of executive leaders; facilitates and coordinates meetings and actions requiring administrative support, research, and analysis; represents executive leaders at a variety of meetings, acting as a liaison or leader as required and by communicating information and acting in a professional manner consistent with the County's Mission and Values; creates written reports documenting actions or recommendations and delivers formal presentations to a variety of audiences; reviews and provides follow-up and direction on action items.
- Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of executive leaders, including basic and complex administrative and analytical tasks; takes initiative and recognizes office and organizational needs and provides support and coordination to ensure resolution; responds to complex requests for information requiring research and communication with a variety of internal and external sources; participates in and leads meetings and processes to support County goals and operations.
- Analyzes standard and complex County processes to identify improvement opportunities and to pursue strategic outcomes; coordinates with multiple departments, key County staff, and external stakeholders on strategic initiatives; independently communicates with outside agencies to perform research and analysis on County projects; presents findings and recommendations through presentations and written reports; leads and facilitates initiatives to implement process changes under the general direction of executive leaders.
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or relevant field; four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative-level experience working in a public sector organization or relevant experience; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
