PRIMARY FUNCTION: The purpose of this classification is to provide customer service to the general public and to assist with the Museum’s initiatives in education, learning and gallery interpretation, ensuring an excellent museum visitor experience in support of the museum’s mission and vision.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in History, Museum Studies, Education or a related field; supplemented by one (1) year of previous experience involving customer service, sales, and experience in area of assignment preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job
LICENSES: Requires a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

SPECIAL REQUISITES: First aid and C.P.R. certification required within six (6) months of employment. Incumbent may be required to work late hours, weekends, changing shifts and holidays, as necessary. Work requires getting up and down from the floor, walking up and down stairs, and working outdoors. Some financial duties involving purchasing, billing, and/or account balancing required.
NOTES: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12 - 20 pounds) and occasionally moderately heavy objects (20 - 50 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation or standing.
