Reporting to the Managing Director of Entrepreneurial Activities Operations and Administration, the General Services Manager is responsible for management of the operational, financial and personnel activities of the General Services area including: Campus Prints, convenience copier, mail, post office, receiving and storage.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a small digital print shop or mailing house including 2 years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Higher education and marketing experience highly preferred. Experience supervising a customer service-based unit, as well as working in a team-oriented environment with quality and reliability requirements is required. Advanced proficiency with computers, networking set-up, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge of Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, database management, Printer's Plan, digital storefront, media equipment including digital and video applications, and PeopleSoft preferred. The incumbent must successfully complete a pre-placement exam.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and will not exceed $5,367 a month. This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and serves at the pleasure of the President.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
