Reporting to and under immediate supervision of the Anthropological Studies Center (ASC) Business Director, with additional lead work direction from the ASC management team, the Field Assistant provides support to ASC's archaeological surveys and excavation sites.
This position requires the ability to apply standard methods and procedures associated with archaeological surveys and excavations and to follow oral and written procedures. Courses or degree completed in Anthropology or closely related discipline strongly preferred. Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge of Google Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, other graphics programs and PeopleSoft preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Salary for this position will not exceed $22 per hour. This is a part time, temporary, non-exempt position. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.
