ABOUT THE POSITION
To perform a variety of social services to both individuals and groups; perform bilingual services to community groups if assigned. There is one position available for the Behavioral Health Services Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform social services for individuals and groups; set up goals, plan for client’s everyday living skills, advocacy, and linkage to other agencies.
Assess and provide intervention for the homeless and at risk homeless mentally ill; coordinate voucher food system, bus tickets, and linkage to other agencies.
Assist in group meetings, activities, and field trips to work individually with assigned clients.
Participate in teaching a parenting class; coordinate and meet with various groups discussing pertinent issues and concerns.
Assist in the transportation of clients within and outside of Colusa County.
Attend various meetings as required.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

A qualification appraisal interview will be used to assess the candidate’s knowledge, skills and training experience. A skills exam may be administered. A hiring list may be implemented for future openings. The Director of Behavioral Health will make the final selection and appointment.

If employee elects not to enroll in County insurance and can provide proof of other group health insurance coverage, they may be eligible for a $300 monthly cash in-lieu benefit. This position is part of the Colusa County Employees Association (CCEA), Miscellaneous Unit.
