Full-time temporary position available on or after April 1, 2021 and ending on or before March 31, 2022 in the Library. (Appointment will be made for one year from date of hire with the possibility of reappointment and/or becoming permanent based on budget, department needs, and job performance.)
Under the general supervision of the Dean, and day to day lead direction of the Librarian and Circulation Coordinator, this position is a member of the Library Circulation unit and is responsible for a range of public services functions, including opening and closing of the Library, assisting library patrons, leading the work of circulation student assistants, and general coordination of Circulation operation in the absence of other Circulation staff members. As the Stacks Specialist, the incumbent coordinates all functions pertaining to library stack maintenance (including shelving, shelf-reading, shifting of library materials, etc.). This position is one of the two Circulation positions assigned to work night and weekend shifts.
*Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
*Experience: Three years of related library and/or clerical experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. A bachelor's degree in job related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
$3,246 - $5,983 per month plus excellent paid benefits. (Anticipated salary will be $3,246 - $3,570 per month, depending on the qualifications of the successful finalist.)
