This position will be responsible for maintenance and repair to include heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical with an emphasis on mechanical systems. Interested individuals should be highly motivated, customer service oriented, possess good communication skills, be safety minded and be able to work well within a demanding environment.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $14.89 - $20.26

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include: monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing air of conditioning, heating, ventilation, and periphery systems within County buildings including: cooling towers, boilers, pumps, motors, air compressors, air handlers, UPS, VFD's, fire pumps, life safety equipment. The individual will monitor HVAC, fire suppression, and other mechanical plant equipment utilizing monthly checklist (PM's), HMI's, and other building management systems (BMS). The individual will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment to prevent downtime or equipment failures, reporting malfunctions, discrepancies, and needed repairs to upper management or appropriate vendors as necessary. Other duties to include: minor carpentry, drywall, painting, water heaters and mixing valves, lighting ballasts, switches and fixtures, leaky faucets, water lines, unclogging drains, toilets, sinks, furniture repairs, housekeeping, maintaining WO data base, reports, overseeing outside contractors, and other duties as assigned. The selected individual may from time to time be involved in facility alterations, renovations and other capital projects. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining your issued tools and repair parts inventory. Position requires after hours on call support on a rotating weekly schedule, subject to repetitive bending, kneeling, standing, climbing, prolonged sitting, and the capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

Interested individuals must possess basic administrative skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and knowledge to navigate basic software programs. Position requires a high school diploma (or GED) technical school diploma or Associates Degree preferred, supplemented with five (5) or more years of experience related to electrical and mechanical equipment. Must have great communication and customer services skills. Work history related to duties and responsibilities described. References are required.
