Job Description

The City is seeking an experienced technician who has a broad range of support skills to provide day to day computer/desktop support, end-point configuration and management, helpdesk support and management, and maintain and troubleshooting various systems hardware, software, and peripherals. Support to be provided via phone, email and internet, as well as physical workstations throughout the City.

An ideal candidate will possess the following:

Education and Experience
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by college-level coursework and/or training in information systems, computer science, or related field
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience providing technical support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of information systems and infrastructure
Relevant Technical and Product skills
  • Microsoft Windows desktop operating system environment
  • Microsoft Office suite and various business software applications
  • Various cloud-based software applications
  • HP, Lenovo and various desktop hardware platforms
  • Xerox, HP, Brother and various printer platforms
  • Audio/Video equipment installation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
This is a limited term position. Anticipated duration of assignment is one year (subject to extension)
