Full time temporary, position available on or after November 2, 2020 and ending on or before October 31, 2021 in the Office of Communications and Public Affairs. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Under general supervision, the incumbent serves as the lead on video, audio and photography content in matters of marketing and communication. Process, edit and deliver images and video projects on deadline and according to specifications. Develop, direct and produce significantly complex video, photo and multimedia projects to support the overall goals of the Office of Communications and Public Affairs. Responsible for creating and promoting a strong, on-brand institutional image through video, audio and photography that clearly presents the University mission and vision to its key audiences.
Designs and produces videos and photography both traditional and digital for brand awareness, public relations, events, advancement and internal communication that support the University in achieving its major initiatives and goals. Works closely with members of the Communications and Public Affairs team and the Senior Associate Vice President for Marketing, Communications and Media Relations, and collaborates with members of the University community in planning and producing these projects.
Provides video, audio and photography expertise to the Communications and Public Affairs team and constituents across campus.
Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in paid work experience
Experience: Four (4) years paid experience as a videographer shooting a variety of subjects.
Bachelor's degree in videography/film, photography, graphic design or digital imaging.
Working knowledge of full range of production techniques including sound recording, graphics, television, photography, videotaping, lighting, editing methods and equipment.
Experience developing, directing and producing significantly complex photo/video and multimedia projects.
Expert knowledge of the tools and techniques of videography/photography and the operation of digital SLR cameras and systems.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications for post production editing and publishing.
Knowledge of digital asset storage and management software and systems
Knowledge of and experience using the Internet as an image proofing and delivery tool.
Knowledge of preparing digital images/video for print and web publishing.
$3,515 - $6,358 per month plus excellent paid benefits. (Anticipated salary will be $3,515 - $4,218 per month, depending on the qualifications of the successful finalist.)
