About Our Job
Denver Human Services provides assistance, benefits and protection and prevention services to one in three Denver residents. Assistance programs include food, cash and medical benefits, childcare, child support, employment first, veterans' services and general assistance for eligible Denver residents. Protection & Prevention services are provided via child, youth and adult protection, along with community-focused programming, including in-home services, designed to strengthen families and prevent future occurrences of abuse or neglect.

Denver Human Services (DHS)/Community Outreach Resource Engagement Division (CORE Division) is currently seeking motivated individuals to fill 3-4 internship positions for the GIVE Denver program for the fall of 2020.

Student interns will primarily support the daily operations of the DHS Marketplace. These follow the academic calendar with Fall (Early August-Early January), Spring (Early January-Late May), and Summer (Early June- Early August) semesters. Interns can choose to stay longer with field instructor/supervisor approval. Interns are encouraged to stay on as volunteers following their internships. Academic fields recommended for participants in the study areas of Social Work and Human Services.
