CLINICAL PLACEMENT ASSISTANT
Administrative Support Assistant II
Patricia A. Chin School of Nursing

Salary Range: $2,600 - $4,592/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt position; Temporary one-year appointment from date of hire; may be extended; may become permanent.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Director of the Patricia A. Chin School of Nursing, the incumbent provides administrative support to meet the objectives of clinical placements for Nursing programs and the School Office, The incumbent is responsible for tracking and reconciling health care data, maintaining student electronic databases; onboarding students to clinical facilities and follow up; assisting with and maintaining currency of clinical contracts; maintaining preceptor data and cataloguing clinical evaluations while maintaining confidentiality of information; providing administrative office support to the School Office; and preparing preceptor acknowledgements.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to two years of general office experience, which include providing work direction or acting as a lead. The incumbent must have experience working with computer systems and software, which includes Microsoft Office. The incumbent must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The incumbent must have the ability to efficiently gather and organize information; take initiative to set priorities with numerous and diverse demands; meet established deadlines; anticipate problems and challenges and address them proactively; and must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
