Employment Status: Full-time, regular "exempt" position, included in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP).
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and occasional evening and weekend hours.

The Master of Science (MS) Program Assistant Program Director (Administrator I) for the College of Extended and Global Education will help develop and coordinate a new Master of Science Physician Assistant program. The Program Director will report directly to the Director of Academic Programs for the College of Extended and Global Education.
Primary Duties include (but not limited to):
The incumbent will serve as the leader and chief academic officer of the program and will oversee the day-to-day operation of the program, program assessment and planning, fiscal management, and evaluation of faculty jointly with the department chairs where the faculty may belong.
The incumbent will be responsible for the development of a strategic plan for implementing the program, guiding the university through initial and continued accreditation.
The incumbent will relevant with department chairs, hiring of program faculty, recruitment of students, management the budget, development of clinical affiliation agreements and ensuring excellence in curriculum, clinical rotations, and research.

Education & Experience:
Must maintain a current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
Must maintain a license as a Physician Assistant within the state of California.
Minimum of five (5) years of higher education experience.
Three (3) years of experience in an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a clinical setting as a Physician Assistant.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge and experience with the accreditation process for a Physician Assistant program.
Possess the skills necessary to secure external funding for a Physician Assistant program.
Demonstrated ability to establish partnerships with the local healthcare community.
Demonstrated administrative ability as shown through activities such as faculty and staff supervision, scheduling, and budgeting.
Possess a Master's degree in Physician assistant studies or an earned Doctorate from an accredited university.
An M.D., Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree in a related field is preferred.
