Portland Parks and Recreation is looking for team-oriented, enthusiastic and qualified staff to operate our 5-12 indoor and outdoor swimming pools. This is a great opportunity to learn leadership skills and help others stay safe and enjoy being in the pool.Available positions:
1. LIFEGUARD - currentStarguardLifeguard Certification
2. SWIM INSTRUCTOR - currentPortland Parks & Recreation Swim Instructor Certification
3. WATER FITNESS INSTRUCTOR - current Portland Parks & Recreation Water Fitness Certification and/or a National Water Fitness Instructor Certification.
All staff are expected to convey good public relations and follow established policies and procedures for a safe, fun, and efficient operation of the City Pools. You must be 15 years old to apply. Hours may vary and are based on program need and job classification. Certification must be current through the duration of employment.
