The Information Services Department
is looking for motivated Programmer Analysts
to support and maintain its PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM
system. Programmer Analysts III are experts in systems analysis, automated systems design, database design, and applications programming.This position provides direct support to the county's Human Resources, Payroll, Time and Labor, Benefits, and Benefits Administration PeopleSoft systems.Current vacancies exist in the Information Services Department.

Applicants must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment.Minimum RequirementsEducation:
Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college level courses in programming, computer science, or software engineering. A list of coursework must be submitted with the application. ---AND---Experience:
Four (4) years of work experience in a production environment, within the past five (5) years, performing systems analysis and project planning for the purpose of developing business applications. Must include one (1) year working as a project leader for large-scale projects. Experience must include the use of a systems development methodology.
Qualifying experience must have been using the following primary development languages and frameworks:
- Application Designer
- Application Engine
One (1) additional year of qualifying work experiencemay substitute for thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of the education requirement.Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong understanding of all aspects of enterprise software development; integrated Windows, Web, database, and reporting skills.
- Experience with COBOL, Application Packages, Component Interface, Fluid Development, HTML5, and CSS.
- Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle changes in business requirements and set priorities across multiple projects.
- Good communication skills, ability to manage project tasks independently, and communicate with clients.
- Ability to formulate advanced SQL Queries.
