TRANSPORTATION ANALYST
Administrative Analyst Specialist
Public Safety

Salary Range: $3,288-$6,347/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, hours vary; extended hours during peak periods and occasional weekend events; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Director of Parking and Transportation Services, the Transportation Analyst is responsible for the daily operation of the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) programs in compliance with the California Education Code. In alignment with the CSU transportation and parking policy, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), and California State Legislature policies and regulations, the incumbent will: produce sustainable transportation policies; perform program development, including forecasting and long-term planning; facilitate grant writing to introduce innovative sustainable projects; serve as lead to the Transportation Coordinator; manage all transportation programs and services including oversight of the University's Employee Commute Reduction Plan (ECRP), marketing and outreach; and research, develop, standardize and document all administrative and reporting requirements. The incumbent will: update and maintain the transportation webpage; develop participation forms; use a transportation web-based platform to track all reportable commuting modes; serve as liaison to the Metrolink Station Joint Powers Authority (JPA) for the operation, maintenance and administration of the station; coordinate JPA quarterly meetings, track expenses and prioritize projects; prepare statistical reports on transportation program's progress; and analyze, compile and present data to Chancellor's Office for reporting and compliance.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and two years of full-time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Incumbent must possess a valid California Driver License and Employer Transportation Coordinator (ETC) certificate. Incumbent must be proficient in word and excel and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to: interpret legislative documents and anticipate their implications for sustainable transportation; provide effective research, statistical analysis, RFP preparation, grant documentation and program development plans; produce professional PowerPoint presentations and speak in front of large audiences; perform tasks and show enthusiasm in promoting commute alternatives; administer exceptional customer service and work efficiently, independently and in a team environment; as well as prioritize work and effectively manage tasks. Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Three years of full-time increasingly responsible transportation program management experience.
