RECRUITING FOR: A full-time, unclassified position with the Division of Child and Family Services, Desert
Willow Treatment Center (DWTC) located in Las Vegas, NV. DWTC is a 20-bed psychiatric hospital
accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations that provides mental
health treatment for children age 6 to 17 years old. DWTC mission is to promote positive self-growth,
create change in behavior, attitudes, values and ways of thinking through education, therapeutic
treatment and appropriate medical and mental health services. This is an unclassified and appointed
position within Nevada State Government. The position provides psychiatric care to children & adolescents
admitted to DWTC Acute & RTC units; guide and facilitate weekly treatment teams; prescribe necessary
medications to assist with mental health stability. Does participate in rotating after hour's psychiatric
coverage.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must be Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrists and be
eligible for Licensure in the State of Nevada. Must possess and maintain NV medical license, DEA
certification, State Board of Pharmacy license and CPR certification at the time of appointment. Pursuant to
NRS 284.4066, all positions in this class have been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered
employment in this class must first submit to a pre­ employment screening for controlled substances.
Fingerprinting and a background investigation through the FBI and NHP are required.
SALARY AND Benefits:
This position is compensated up to $199,142 employer/employee paid retirement. Excellent benefits
package including health, dental, and vision insurance, Public Employees Retirement Plan, three weeks
paid vacation, three weeks sick leave, eleven paid holidays, and no state, county, city, or social security tax!
In addition, relocation assistance may be available.
