Complete all required reports and correspondence in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with established procedures and formats. Maintains standards of safety and sanitation in the kitchen by supervising and participating in the cleaning of utensils, equipment, and work areas. Must have the ability to lift or carry large portions of food or ingredients in preparation of food serving and in the delivery/stocking of food items. Ensure food items are properly stored, served, and used in a timely manner to eliminate spoilage and waste. Rotate stock in storeroom, freezer, and refrigerator to ensure oldest food is used first. Keep storeroom locked when food is not being prepared. Ability to work long hours while standing in a kitchen setting which may involve high temperatures. Participate and assists in supervising the cleaning of the kitchen and food serving areas. Must have the ability to work with and supervise youth and / or other helpers in the preparation of food, safety and sanitation. Performs other related work as assigned. Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Either: A bachelor's degree in vocational counseling, vocational rehabilitation, social work or a closely related field including at least fifteen (15) semester college units in career counseling, career planning, guidance principles and techniques, personality development, occupational and industrial information, tests and measurements or other courses relating to employment counseling preparation. AND Two years of vocational counseling, career counseling, and rehabilitation job solicitation and assessment experience involving a variety of occupations and industrial groups.
