As an ATS Ramp Crew Chief you will:Be actively involved with all ramp team duties (plane talks, baggage/cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating GSE around aircraft, etc.)Delegate the work of ramp team members on your shift to ensure flights depart on timeBe responsible for conducting on-the-job training and coaching for new team membersComplete safety-critical paperwork for each flight, including baggage counts, load counts, and passenger counts as needed and/or assignedObserve and enforce all ATS and airline safety regulations and company policies Assure that all GSE maintenance procedures are completed on each shiftTo be an ATS Ramp Crew Chief you must:Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and station leadershipDemonstrate familiarity with GSE maintenance proceduresBe at least 18 years of age and possess a High school diploma, GED or work experience equivalentPossess a valid driver's license with a clean driving recordBe able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 10-year extensive employment, criminal record and residence background checkAs an ATS Ramp Crew Chief you must be able to:Lift 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basisCarry heavy items up and down stairsClimb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
