Job Description

The City of Leander is seeking qualified candidates for a City Manager who desires a position working collaboratively to achieve the city's goals and vision. A Comprehensive Plan review is imminent, and a strong focus on economic development should be anticipated. The City Council desires a responsive and efficient government, and a municipality that meets the needs of residents and attracts visitors.

Job Requirements

Experience
Significant experience in government at the municipal level required, with experience in Texas desired. Successful applicant must be knowledgeable in a variety of departmental areas such as economic and community development, budget and finance, public safety, and public works. A demonstrated history of strong partnership with regional government is strongly desired, including metropolitan planning organizations, county government, and school districts.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Possession of a valid Texas Class C Driver license or within six months of date of hire.
 
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, public administration or related field is required. A Master's degree in a related area is highly desired.
