Napa County Counsel's Office is seeking applicants to fill one or more extra help vacancies for Deputy County Counsel III/IV.
All attorneys in the County Counsel Office are expected to handle one or more areas of the law to meet operational needs. Successful candidates should have significant experience as an attorney. The department may choose to fill these vacancies at the III or IV level, depending on the qualifications of the candidate pool. The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill extra help vacancies for up to one year.
This is the advanced journey/expert level class in the Deputy County Counsel series. Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned. Attorneys perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series. Attorneys at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to assigned area of responsibility. This classification is designated as an "at will" classification.
