The Hawkins Company

HISTORY – In 1984, William D. Hawkins established The Hawkins Company to conduct executive searches. Today, the firm is one of the premier minority-owned senior level executive search firms in the United States.

In the early years, The Hawkins Company focused exclusively on private sector recruiting. As their reputation grew, the firm was asked to conduct searches for government agencies. Within a few years, The Hawkins Company became nationally recognized for its ability to apply private sector search strategies to meet the recruitment needs of public sector clients. Today the firm has broadened its client base to include educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

The Hawkins Company has completed over 300 national, regional and local executive searches for CEO’s, COO’s and other officers, directors, senior managers and professional staff in the private, public, educational and non-profit sectors. Over seventy percent (70%) of The Hawkins Company’s searches are national and seventy-five percent (75%) of the firm’s placements have been minorities and/or women.
