An immediate vacancy exists at the One-Stop TAY Center (TAY). The position will be assigned 50% of the time to the clinical unit and 50% to the DBH-operated American Psychological Association (APA) accredited pre-doctoral internship program. One-Stop TAY Center (TAY) is the DBH operated Full Service Partnership (FSP) for Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) (aged 16 through 25) serving the San Bernardino City area. There are additional TAY Centers in other regions of the county operated by contract agencies. The TAY program focuses on the provision of a wide range of specialty mental health services to TAY aged individuals who are experiencing a serious and persistent mental illness. Services are coordinated and provided through a multidisciplinary team. The APA pre-doctoral internship provides a one-year full-time training experience for psychology doctoral students in their last year of education. Interns are placed in a variety of clinical units throughout DBH, including the One Stop TAY Center. Staff awarded either of the current positions will work within the internship program 50% of the time. Tasks will include assisting in the coordination of the internship and providing direct supervision to interns for their clinical activities, including the review of psychological testing. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTEGRATION The women's health clinic ( WHC ) at ARMC serves the most vulnerable women and families in the Inland Empire. At least 90% of our patient population is enrolled in Medi-Cal, and the majority of the rest of the patients we serve have no insurance plan. We accept patients who have very little access to other providers due to the high-risk nature of their pregnancy due to multiple co-morbid conditions or late access to care. These patients have profound social complexities, including homelessness, food scarcity, and transportation issues which necessitate the provision of whole-person care and on-site social and mental health services to impact and reduce pregnancy risks due to social determinants of health. The ARMC WHC BHI program will care for pregnant and post-partum women in San Bernardino County through early detection of mental health disorders and substance use disorders resulting in reduced alcohol and other drug misuse and early intervention and treatment opportunities. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Appointment: This is a contract position which does not obtain status as a regular County employee.
